The below settings should be activated on your iPad before you install the Front Systems app from App Store.
- Activate Location Services
- Restrict the Front Systems app from being deleted
- Activate automatic updates of the Front Systems app
- Activate GPS Location
- Activate automatic time and time zone
- Create text replacements (shortcuts)
Activate Location Services
- Go to iPad Settings and tap Privacy.
- Select Location Services and toggle ON.
Restrict the Front Systems app from being deleted
Since the Front Systems app is a business-critical app, the app should never be deleted unless utterly necessary. Therefore, a lock should be set to prevent employees from deleting the app.
- Go to Settings app, and tap Screen Time.
- On the Screen Time panel, tap Content & Privacy Restrictions
- Toggle ON Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Tap iTunes & App Store Purchases.
- Under the Store Purchases & Re-downloads section, tap Deleting Apps.
- On the subsequent screen, tap Don't Allow.
Activate automatic updates of the Front Systems app
The Front Systems app is under constant development. Therefore, we recommend turning on automatic updates of the app. In that way, you are sure to always use the most recent app with the latest features and improvements.
- Go to Settings and tap App Store.
- Under Automatic Downloads section, toggle ON Apps.
Activate GPS Location
We recommend that the GPS is activated on the iPad. That way, the time zone on the iPad will automatically be set to the location of the store.
- Go to Settings and tap your Apple ID at the top.
- Tap Find My and toggle ON Share My Location.
Activate automatic time and time zone
We recommend that automatic time and time zone is activated on the iPad, so that you get the correct time zone settings.
- Go to Settings and tap General.
- Tap Date & Time and toggle ON Set Automatically.
Create text replacements (shortcuts)
You can create text replacements to save time on typing text, e.g. create a text replacement for your user name.
Let's say your username is johndoe@frontsystems.no. You can then add a text replacement to get suggestions instead of typing the full username.
- Go to Settings and tap General.
- Tap Keyboard and then Text Replacement.
- Tap + in the top-right corner to create shortcuts.
