How to delete a product
A product can be deleted from Catalog.
Once a product is deleted, it will be hidden on the list of products. Delete flags the product as no longer active or valid without actually deleting it. This allows a deleted product to be restored if necessary.
Deleting a product will not affect historical sales data and reports.
To delete a product, do the following:
- Navigate to Catalog (Product > Catalog).
- Search for the product you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button below the product line.
- Click OK to confirm the action.
N.B.
The stock quantity on the product to be deleted must be 0 in all stores/stocks. Adjust the stock quantity to 0 to delete the product.
How to restore a product
A deleted product can be restored.
To restore, do the following:
- Navigate to Catalog (Product > Catalog).
- Click on Filter and select the checkbox for Deleted.
- Select the relevant deleted product you want to restore.
- Click Restore product.
- The product will be restored.
