In this article, you will learn how to measure the effect an SMS campaign has on the store's key figures.
Were the items marketed sold? Increase in turnover? Did we get more visitors to the store?
Below are some tips on what you should monitor to determine the effectiveness of the SMS campaign:
- A week after sending out the SMS campaign, go to Portal > Reports > More... > Daily report.
- Select from and to the date of the week before the campaign was sent and view the report.
- Open a new tab in the browser and run the Daily Report with the from and to date for the week after the SMS campaign was sent.
- Compare the two reports to see if you have had an increase in sales of the brands, product groups, gender that you advertised in the SMS campaign (if you had a filtered SMS campaign), difference in total turnover and such.
- Based on the data collected, you can evaluate your strategies, consider your target audience and try new SMS campaigns.
Some customers may find SMS campaigns as spammy
It is easy for customers to unsubscribe from SMS themselves. Each SMS contains an unsubscribe code that the customer can easily use to unsubscribe.
You can also manage this for specific customers by disabling Accept SMS in Portal.
Do the following:
- Navigate to Customers under the Customers menu.
- Search for the relevant customer and click Edit.
- Under Customer settings tab, toggle off Accept SMS.
- Click Update once done.
